British Model Railway G Gauge Train layout Photos
My name is Craig Moore and I admire the skill and craftsmanship of the railway enthusiasts who make model railway G Gauge Garden Train layouts of the British railways. They span from early steam engines of the Victorian times to the modern high speed intercity express locomotives. The locomotives are a bit more expensive than 00/H0 scale but they are great fun. Your can power some model trains with real steam like the real thing.

Garden Model Railway layouts are getting more popular each year. The ability to have model steam engines that are actually powered by steam is irresistable. You fill up your steam engine's water tank and light its boiler. You feed it with real coal and when there is enough pressure you can run your model steam train around your track. The locomotives are a bit more expensive than 00/H0 scale but you can pick them up for about 250 british pounds 350 US dollars. Garden scale comes in different guages. G scale is 1.22 scale 45mm. 16mm 1.19 scale 32mm guage. There is also Narrow guage G-64 guage 3 1.22.5 scale 63.5mm.

You can buy locomotives or you can scratch build them. The same goes for wagons, coaches, freight, break vans, trucks and other rolling stock. There are a number of manufactures of this larger scale equipment like LGB, Tenmile, Aristocraft, Peco, Bachmann, Accucraft, USATrains, Aristo-Delton, MDC, Playmobil, Pola, Piko, Vollmer, Lifelike, Busch, Preiser and Gunze-Sangyo

If you have a garden you can construct a real steam driven locomotive all weather railway layout in G gauge or 16mm scale. You can lay track that is dual gauge so you can run 16mm and G gauge steam engines. Track is laid on supports and mesh. On to the mesh is laid gravel. When it rains the water soaks through the gravel and mesh so that there are no puddles. Garden Model Railway layouts are getting more popular each year.
